Happy Birthday Daddy!

June fruit cake

1 pound of strawberries
 1 strawberry jelly
2 mangoes or 4 peaches
 1 peach jelly
300g blueberries
 1 blueberry jelly
2 cups of vanilla yogurt (around 300g)
300g biscuits
4 tablespoons of Nutella
Crumble biscuits and mix with Nutella, then put the resulting mass on the bottom of the springform pan and place in the refrigerator. Put strawberry jelly in 250 ml of water. Wash and slice strawberries. Mix cool jelly with one container of yogurt, then add to the prepared strawberries. Refrigerate for 15 minutes, then pour on the bottom earlier. Allow to concentrate. Just do a jelly peach and mango or peach fruit and yogurt. When the weight of strawberry is completely solidified, pour the peach on her weight. At the end of berry jelly, dissolve it in 500ml of water and cool. When the masses  stiffen, pour the jelly and berries on top.

I'm thirsty

It is so hot.
The heat is falling from the sky.
Strawberry juice.
Cold water.
Rattling ice cubes.
It's good.

Strawberry - Linden juice

 4 pound of strawberries
cup sugar (optional)
4 cups of linden  flowers tea

Wash strawberries and cut them in half. Pour over linden tea and sugar. Then boil fruits to let the juice go. Let it cool down. Pour juice into the bottle. If you are going to store the juice, it needs to be pasteurized. In my house we use strawberry juice almost immediately. Some with the water, and some for the drinks (vodka, orange juice and strawberry in any proportions :) There is no where in the city to collect pure uninfected flowers, so I have to use regular organic linden tea bags . But I recommend to all who have the chance, linden flowers smell wicked.

Mother's Day 2012

Today, a Mother's holiday, is spent in a beautiful, sunny, summer day.  I pack treats for our picnic. We go to greet the sun and May. Hurray!

The first one is our favorite tart with caramelized onions and Saint Agur blue cheese. I ate a tart once like this in one of the wineries on the Lower East Side in New York. It has an unforgettable flavor, and that's because it really was delicious, and I was so madly in love, so the memory of that evening is familiar to me. However it is also the recipe I found on the beautiful  blog www.beawkuchni.com
Cut the onion in small pieces, put them in the pot with a little olive oil and simmer over low heat until soft. Then add the balsamic vinegar and sugar, stirring until the stew on the sauce has evaporated and onion just begins to caramelize. We must be careful not burn the onion.Add egg with cream  to the onion. Add salt and put on the crust. On the top, sprinkle generously with cheese and fresh thyme. This time I used St Agur cheese that is creamy and slightly spicy however,  caramelized onions, matches any type of cheese. Tart baked in a of a removable bottom for about 40 minutes at 175degrees. With red wine, it creates the perfect duo.

The cake for the picnic shall be mandatory. I chose, simple, light cake with fruit, which always works, and is prepared in a few minutes. Recipe from Dorothy of www.mojewypieki.blox.pl
Ingredients:
5 eggs
3/4 cup sugar
2 cups flour
150 ml of oil
1 teaspoon baking powder
You can use any fruits to choose from, today I used strawberries and blackberries.
Whip eggs and sugar until fluffy, then slowly add the oil and flour, mixing the powder all the time. Pour into the batter and put fruit on top. Bake for about 45 minutes at 180deg
rees.

And these is the most beautiful flowers in the world from the greatest daughter and son in the world :)

The easiest cake in the world, oh yeah!

When the
moment comes, you have to act quickly. With every minute, it gets worse.

I want something sweet now!

Cake! that's it!  Cake made with cheese, so to speak: easy, quick and enjoyable. For baking we do not use eggs, and replace butter with oil. It is delicate in its structure is like yeast cake, especially right out of the oven. Its perfect for filling with a variety of fruits.

Cake made with cheese and strawberries filling

500g strawberries
350g plain flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
175g lean minced cottage cheese (I've used cheese riccotta)
6 tablespoons milk

8 tablespoons of vegetable oil
75g sugar
vanilla sugar
1 egg, but not necessarily
Mix all ingredients for about a minute.Ricotta mixer makes the dough is light and spongy, has a consistency similar to dough. If the dough sticks to the hand must be added a little flour. Put it into a mold and bake with any fruit.

Smells so good! It's ready ...

"A Bun with Jam" or "Barefoot in the Grass"

.. and
wake up from sleep Angels with green wings,
in the the purple hyacinths smell of spring ...

Two jars of jam and bread rolls bought along the way, oh what is good in the outdoors.

Strawberry-rhubarb jam

The recipe by bayaderka.blogspot.com  I did a double portion yummy!
2 pounds of strawberries
600g rhubarb
200 g of sugar
Cook all ingredients until they thicken. My jam is quite "attenuated," but this is what I like.

Lemon - kiwi jam

Recipe from mojewypieki.blox.pl
. It is amazing. We love this jam with scons, rolls, and even with some cheeses. Honestly say that it adheres strictly to the rule. And that's because I have no experience in making jams and, as usual, took it into my intuition.

5 lemons
 with peel thinly sliced

12 kiwi fruit
1 cup of sugar
half cup of water
Cut lemons, add water, and let it stand for several hours or for the full night. Boil with sugar for several minutes and add the diced kiwi. Cook until it thickens. After the addition of kiwi, and a short time of cooking ,  mix everything in a blender, and let it cool.

Sterilize the Jam Jars, in the oven. For 100 Degrees an about 1 hour.

Strawberry Johnny

I will say it outloud - I LOVE STRAWBERRIES! Since I remember I waited on them with longing. I remember I liked to go to my grandmother's village and  run in the strawberry field. I would gently  pluck the leaves and fruit. I loved the strawberries still half mature, white, pink and red ... Oh, and the cries of myself and my brother: I'm better! I have more.  You're stupid I have more! Etc. .. hahaha. We pluck them straight from the bush,  a sandy and fragrant vacation. Ah! I hated that it ended so quickly, and that we had to wait all year again ... Then when a few  changes occurred in our land and shops began to appear good, I saw the supermarket strawberries. They looked like the plastic strawberries my grandmother would have in her vase, the plastic ones, to decorate the house. One could knock out their eyes with them, and they were usually used for when my brother and I played with his soldiers.
Strawberries accompanied me for so many years. When I lived in New York, the situation changed. For here there is no seasons, no weeks, no beginning or end ... The noise and confusion, in this puzzle here, strawberries can be found at any time, in any season. This is why I love NY :) and recently, we found a new  strawberries lover:)

Strawberry Smoothie with wheat germ

450 g of strawberries
  200g organic vanilla yogurt
  a glass of organic milk
  3 tablespoons wheat germ
  3 tablespoons agave syrup

All ingredients mix together in blender and go! A delicious and nutritious start of the day! Wheat germ is a natural multivitamin concentrate, which also contains lots of minerals. I tried to add them to yogurt and cocktails :)
